Dacuda AG is a privately held high-tech company and is supported by the Swiss government’s innovation promotion agency CTI, ETH Transfer, Venture Lab, and the MIT Venture Mentoring Service.

Dacuda was founded in 2008 as spin-off company from ETH Zurich by former students of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and the University of St. Gallen (HSG). The headquarters are located in Zurich, Switzerland.

VISION

Dacuda stands for an always-at-hand and easy to use scanning process that closes the gap between digital and printed information. Dacuda’s objective is to establish the SLAM Scan® technology as standard for computer mice.
The Scanner Mouse is but one of a number of platforms that might employ this technology. It can revolutionize also other devices such as mobile phones, web cams and digital cameras.

UNIQUE APPROACH

The patented SLAM Scan® technology combines robotics principles for Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) with Computer Vision. It enables a fast and intuitive document scanning process. Dacuda develops innovative and flexible solutions for the enterprise context and licenses its technology to leading hardware and software vendors.
