Dr. Peter Weigand joins Dacuda as CEO and is adding extensive international background and broad experience in high technology ventures to Dacuda.

Peter received his PhD in Physics from the Vienna Technical University and has spent his career in various high technology companies in the USA, in Europe and in China. Among those he build a business unit providing semiconductor system solutions for Multimedia markets, he set up a marketing, semiconductor and software development center in Shanghai and he ran the sales, marketing and design division of a China based semiconductor manufacturing company. Before joining Dacuda he was managing director of an Austrian start up company.

Dr. Alexander Ilic is founder, CTO, and Chairman of the Board. Alex is Dacuda’s visionary and the driving force that brought Dacuda together.

Alex has an interdisciplinary background. He holds a PhD in Management, Technology, and Economics from ETH Zurich and a MSc in Computer Science from TU Munich. He also studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Alex received several grants including a scholarship of the Swiss National Science Foundation in 2009. Alex has two years of industry experience as head of a business unit and five years as software engineer. He also worked as independent consultant for companies in the SAP domain to optimize their internationalization and growth strategies.

Michael Born is founder and CFO. Michael shapes Dacuda’s market and financial strategy.

Michael holds a MSc in International Affairs and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen. Michael also studied at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Michael has more than seven years of work experience. Before joining Dacuda, he worked for several years as a strategy consultant with Capgemini Consulting, specializing on growth strategy and business transformation. In addition, he fostered various entrepreneurial activities during his studies. His experiences, rich network at Capgemini and contacts to large accounts are a key asset to attract new talents and potential customers for Dacuda.

Martin Zahnert is founder and Head of Product Development. Martin is one of the original founders and the lead hardware architect.

Martin holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich. Martin successfully participated in the Nanogram RoboCup 2007. Martin gathered practical experience in mechatronics, automation & control, robotics, pattern recognition, and image processing in research projects and while working for companies such as Alstom. Martin’s deep software, construction, and engineering know-how and expertise in image processing make him a key personality for Dacuda.

Erik Fonseka is founder, Head of Product Development and Member of the Board. Erik is one of the original founders and the lead software architect.

Erik holds a MSc. in Computer Science from ETH Zurich. He has gained consolidated knowledge in Computer Vision with focus on image processing and artificial intelligence/machine learning techniques. Erik successfully participated in the Nanogram RoboCup 2007. Erik is a passionate programmer and has a proven track record in solving complex image processing problems. He has several years of experience as software engineer.
